Daily Announcements

March 17, 2025

Deer Park High School’s annual blood drive will be held Friday, March 21st. Any student or staff member who is interested in donating should see Mr Hubbard to sign up. All donors must be 16 or older, but 16 year old donors must first have a signed permission slip from a parent.

Attention Parkers cast. The list of names for the cast shirt is now posted on the Parkers board. Please check to make sure your name is correct. If not, update the list with the correct spelling. Failure to do so may result in your name being misspelled or left off of the cast shirt. See Ms. Godwin or Ms. Troxell with any questions.

Attention Parkers specialty acts. Individual act rehearsals will be held the week of April 7 through 10. Please sign up for a mandatory rehearsal on the sign-up sheet on the Parkers board. See Ms. Godwin with questions.

Attention Juniors: Voting for Prom Court will take place Wednesday, March 12- Wednesday March 19. Please use the link on Schoology to cast your vote; results will be announced on Friday, March 21, during afternoon announcements.

Prom Tickets will be sold March 25-28 after school in the HS lobby. Tickets are $75 each and include dinner, prom, and after prom. You must have all paperwork completed and student fees up to date in order to purchase a ticket. Our goal is to have all juniors and seniors that want to attend prom be able to attend so if you have questions and/or concerns about the requirements; please reach out to Mrs. Henry or a principal as soon as possible.

Looking for a way to volunteer? Mrs. Henry is currently looking for 2 volunteers from each grade level, 7th-11th, to be ushers at graduation for the class of 2025. If interested, please complete the google form that is on Schoology by March 28. Ushers will be selected after spring break.

Students who park in Walgreens parking lot, please do not park close to the Walgreens building and entrance as those spots are for their customers. Please park farther away down near the area of Plainfield and Galbraith intersection. Also, there is no longer a parking pass needed to park in the school lot so feel free to park there instead. It is safer and monitored by security cameras.

Attention all students of Deer Park Junior/Senior High School.  Would you like two tickets and a $50 food card for Kings Island?  I know I would!  The Teachers are starting a new rewards program called the Roar Rewards!  Students who are demonstrating that they Help the School, Help each other and Help themselves can receive a Roar Rewards ticket from one of their teachers to enter a drawing to be held at the end of 4th quarter.  The winner will get the King’s Island Roar Rewards!  Make the 4th quarter a GRRRRREat one!

In honor of Hope Week, the Hope squad wanted to host a riddle for every day this week. The first correct response will receive a gift card. Put your guess in the link on schoology and we will announce the winner later today!

Today’s riddle is- I can keep you company but can also make you lonely. What am I?
