Dear Families,

At Deer Park Schools, your child’s safety and privacy are very important to us. That includes how we use technology in the classroom and how we protect your child’s personal information.

Why You're Getting This Letter/Notification 

Ohio law (Senate Bill 29) says we must let families know each year about the learning programs and apps we use that may collect or store student information. These tools help us teach your child and track their progress, but we also make sure their data stays safe and private. 

What We Do to Protect Your Child’s Data

We only use trusted education companies that:

• Keep your child’s data secure
• Do not sell or use their data for advertising
• Follow strict rules about how they collect and delete data
• We have written contracts with each company to make sure they follow the law.

Tools We Use

Deer Park Community City School District utilizes many different software tools as part of our educational programming in grades K - 12.  The district’s vendor list can be found here.
